The Green Entrepreneurs' Programme - Sprint 1: Weeks 3-4

Weeks 3-4 of the Green Entrepreneurs Programme! It has been great to see the cohort get stuck into the workshops and engage with the brilliant workshop leaders.

This week we started off with a brilliant accessible breakdown in business structures by Hrvoje Kondzic, a great chance for the cohort to understand which structure suits their business venture. We had Becky Baines, Managing Director - Climate Change & Nature Recovery, deliver a session on reducing waste in business relaying her expertise from her own business, the Ink Bin. A valuable insight from big to small things one can do to save money and the environment. Guy Abraham, Brand & Communications Strategist, ran a session on how to create & launch your first marketing campaign by reviewing why branding is so important and what tools will best support the process. A fun interactive session, looking at trends like #BRATsummer, creating campaign ideas in speed rounds and running through great resources available online. We finished the week with Nat Harrison, Career & Business Coach, with her session on time management, tips on harnessing your time in a world that demands it. Helpful advice, especially for Neurodiverse entrepreneurs on practical things to do to deal with procrastination.

The next week, artist Lu Williams ran through building a self-manifesto through understanding the power of authentic branding and what this looks like when adapting to different projects/commissions. The cohort were able to pick a colour pallet, fonts and key visual concepts for their brand. Sarah Arch, Director of Dismantle Initiative, went through an introduction to proactive inclusion and ableism in the workplace. Looking at how we view disability, what ableism looks like in action and how anti-ableism practices promote safe inclusive work environments. Tomas Panek, Growth Marketing Consultant at Google, ran our first master class of the programme with his session, Design Thinking: Unlocking your Inner Innovator. This master class ran through the process of the key stages of design thinking, encouraging a human-centred approach to problem solving in business and creative collaboration. We finished the week with the second peer review of the programme led by Hrvoje Kondzic which was another great opportunity to discuss ideas and review work over the last 4 weeks.

A wide variety of workshops this week to really support the entrepreneurs business development! It's been great getting to know the cohort and learning more about their visions for their business ideas!
