On our induction day, we visited Patch, Chelmsford where the Art Clubbers Team went through the details of the curriculum, discussed ideas and personal/professional goals the cohort had for the programme. This was a great chance to meet in person and break the ice!
To kick off the first week, the first session with Sam Shelly who discussed how to identify your eco values to help you run a more eco - friendly business by unpacking the waste hierarchy, and how incorporating the circular economy is the future of business and evaluating case studies. Our first master class was with Nat Harrison on how to set yourself up for success through your business vision & mission, understanding the importance of cultivating a growth mindset and setting goals for your business.
The second week we had a breakdown of the various ways entrepreneurs can finance their business with Hrvoje Kondzic. The second master class of the sprint was a deep dive into sustainable design in branding led by Teresa Ferreira where she shared practical insights and tools that entrepreneurs could implement into their work. Next Ajay Pabial introduced the lean canvas model, an accessible business model that reflects on ambitions, USP, competitors and early adopters.
The third week we had a brilliant master class by Kim Darragon where she covered the basics of marketing that allows you to build a strategy for your business with confidence. Hrvoje Kondzic was back to teach the cohort how to forecast effectively for their business by looking at different strategies.
In the fourth week we had a DEI introduction master class led by Asha Harkness who highlighted how anti-racism principles support people as well as businesses. Nat Harrison covered how to be resilient as an entrepreneur through financial stability, self-care and risk management.
